Long Overdue House Wash in Charlestown WV

On Monday we went out to help a new customer with a full house wash and interior and exterior window cleaning for their recently purchased home in Charlestown West Virginia. once we got on site and made contact with the customer and went over our pre-job inspection and how the job was going to flow from one task to another and in what order. we then asked if they had any areas they wanted us to pay special attention to? They said yes, they wanted the ugly black stains on the siding on the front of the house to disappear because it was so unsightly from the road and asked that we please let them know if we found any damage or issues we find because they had started to notice that the previous owner had done some not so great home repairs himself. We then started our 32 point inspection and found several issues on the exterior of the home, including unsealed penetrations for the AC systems, large holes in siding that had been covered over with putty/silicone, and multiple damaged window screens/frames, and blown window seals. as part of the inspection we provided a list of vetted contractors that we work closely with who could help them with the repairs. the customer was very happy to be notified about these issues so they could work on getting them fixed. Once we had finished the inspection we moved forward with our property protection: taping up key holes on doors and taping up electrical outlets. The wash took a little longer then normal due to the house being extra dirty from not being washed in several years and having to work around the areas we had brought to the customer attention that had been covered by putty/silicone. After applying our cleaning solution to the home and allowing it the extra time needed to kill off all the algae, mold, mildew and lichen on the home we were able to give the home a full rinse leaving everything bright and clean. We then moved on to cleaning the windows. As part of the package the customer chose we removed all the screens for the customer gathering all the damaged screens separately so they could get them repaired or replaced later. Noah, was tasked with using the water fed pole which is a specialized window cleaning system which uses purified de-ionized water to clean the exterior of the windows leaving them clean and spot free rinse like with a car wash. Matthew took care of the interior of the windows cleaning the glass traditionally with a scrubber and squeegee, and specialized towels to detail the edges of the glass and frames. After both the interior and the exterior of the windows were clean we did a final walk through with the customer double checking all the windows and showing them the outside of the house, all they could keep saying was "Wow! It looks like a brand new house!". We set the customer up with an annual contract for window cleaning and house washing and now the customer has the peace of mind that they have a professional company they can rely on from now on to help maintain their home. Another successful job to add to the list!
